Hi, I don’t think there is any link to PBC but I an no expert. I was on HRT with PBC but the only one I was allowed was Evorel conti patches. These helped a lot but I was taken off them for a reason other than PBC.

I was the same as wocket, taken off HRT tablets when diagnosed with PBC and use patches which work but can be slightly annoying. I don't think there is any connection between menopause and PBC, just one more thing women have to contend with!

Greetings....Oh the joy of womanhood! As if we didn't have enough to deal with, then wham!, menopause arrives. Mine arrived in my early 40's. Spent several miserable years with hot flashes, soaked sheets, irritable moods. Found a liquid(tincture) of Chaste Tree Berry in a health food store. Really helped the mood and sweats. In my late 50's I was introduced to bio identical hormones through a GP. I suppose the dose was wrong or something, but the results were minimal and i wasn't sleeping. I was then introduced to Combi-patch through a gynecologist. They helped some, but are quite costly and fall off all the time. I even found the Canadian equivalent and had the same problems. About 2 years ago, my gyro. switched me to synthetic hormones. All symptoms were gone. The problem is that they are really hard on the liver and full of chemical/fillers. So, knowing that I was taking "poison", I had an acupuncturist ween me off and we did TCM...felt great, but had to leave the area I was in and guess what???? All symptoms roared back into my life! Out of desperation, I went back on the synthetics. Then an angel appeared in my life. A Naturopathic doctor who used a wizard of a compounding pharmacist. When we spoke, he told me by labs showed I had Estrone at 600 when the high is 60. He had me take a supplement to bring this down while once again weening off the synthetics. I am now on the correct dosage of Bio-identicals for me, no symptoms, labs are going down and I feel great. The GP's, bless their hearts, do not go to the lengths to find you proper dosage. Please consider finding a Naturopathic to help you. There is no need to suffer and live miserably.
