Does anyone have RBC (red blood cell) in your urine?
I have trace of blood in urine for a long time. Went to a urologist 8 years ago and he said some people are born like and not to worried about it.
The physical exam this year showed trace of blood + RBC in the urine. My doctor thought I had infection. She gave me cipro which caused dizziness spell and vertigo. It turned out I did not have infection.
I don't have stone in the kidney either. The urologist said it's very unlikely that I have bladder cancer but by protocol I need to be scoped.
Any advise will be appreciated.
Thanks,
Jane

Couple years ago I had trace of blood. Urologist found something microscopic in left kidney. He felt it was the beginning of a stone that had moved around to cause blood. Last visit , he tested urine & no trace. He said no worries.
I have had RBC in my urine for almost 30 years. It was first discovered in 1989 during routine testing for insurance. My insurance was denied because of it.
Testing and scopes have concluded I have no diagnosis of abnormalities in my kidneys or bladder.
I do have recurring bladder infections, and each time urine is tested the RBC red blood cells are always there.
Several urologists have assured me it is of no consequence, at all.
I never even think about it, unless I see a post such as yours.
