Urso and other medication

Morning

I've been given folic acid to take as I'm low, but also have hydroxychloroquine pills to start, I'm having a eye test before I take hydroxy

But I've not been told if I can take when I take urso, I take one am and one after dinner, but I was told by gastroenterology to start talking one more so will be 3 a day

Is there any interaction or can I take all 3 different medication at once

Many thanks

Ann

You should just ask your GI or hepatologist or pharmacist just to be on safe side. In general, my hepatalogist tells me to space out my meds/supplements a few hours away from urso.

I have been on Urso and the hydroxychloriquine since 2005. No issues taking both and I get my eye exams yearly. You should be okay.

When I started on Urso, I checked drug interactions with various doctors and pharmacists. The only possible interaction was found with premarin (I take one day), but, actually in the sense that it might diminish potency of premarin, not Urso. Nothing else. One thing to keep in mind that you shouldn't take any meds with anti-acids that contain aluminum, like Mylanta or Maalox. Have 1-2 hours in between, if you take those. Other antacids like Tums, Zantec or Nexium are OK to take with other meds at the same time.
