Hi

I have high Igm (immunoglobulins). It actually supports a diagnosis of PBC. Mine,s been high for years.

What does it mean. Ive looked it up and i really dont understand it ,in simple term why is it high..thanks

Igm is a type of common antibody released by the immune system in response to an infection. In PBC the immune system thinks the PBCis an infection, so it responds by releasing Igm to fight it. Most people with PBCwill have it high without realising it. Part of the reason why we have fatigue I suspect.
