I’ve tried everything and I’m currently on a clinical trial at Queen Elizabeth hospital in Birmingham

I have also just been put on Cimetidine, as I can’t cope anymore

Had anyone else been prescribed it ??

Thanks

I hope it works for you as a sufferer I feel for you but I do understand that our feelings most probably differ.

My sympathy as lately I itch to an extend that you feel you are going to loose it. I do not take anything for itch, but try and eat right, but it is completely out of hand

Hi. This probably doesn't apply to you because I don't think my itching is as bad as yours (yet). I'm newly diagnosed with early stage pbc, so far the itch is mainly on the back of my shins and a little on my lower back. When it's bad I can literally dig my skin off if I don't quit itching it. So far when it gets bad I use a cream that was originally given to me, for a bout of poison ivy, called Triamcinolone Acetonide Cream. I'll put that on the area only once in a while, maybe once a week or two, and the itch will leave. Also I will occasionally have a hot mug of "Golden Milk". It is made with the spice Turmeric. There is plenty of info on this online. If you look up healing qualities of Turmeric you'll find that it say's it's good for ailing livers and itching is also listed. It helps me a lot. It is a natural anti-inflammatory, I'm obviously not a doc, so don't know if any of this is even good for us but wanted to share with you what works for me. If you try the turmeric the brand I buy is called "Morton & Bassett" all natural, salt-free, gluten-free, non-gmo, preservative free, no msg, non-irradiated. It's a 2.4 oz bottle. Just look up golden milk recipes. Wish you the best.

Hi Melwoods

I see this is now a week ago, has it been long enough for the Cimetidine to get in your system and help you? I hope it has had some benefit for you.

best wishes
