Funny you should ask this. My last labs showed my B12 was just barely under the high range. I do take B12 though. I've stopped for the last week. I will take it twice a week from now on and have it checked again in a month.

I started taking it because I was feeling slightly fatigued. I never actually had it checked though before this. I'll monitor it from now on. 👍

I did read that low vit d as well as low b12 can be a contributing factor in pbc. Makes me sort of wonder, in 2010my b12 was depleted & vit d was low. Took injections until b12 got to normal. Gathering new info every day.

B12 stored in liver and if some thing happen to liver can also trigger high b12 in blood which I'm worried right now.. it also mean that My body is not absorbing b12 as well or it can be cancer! 😔.. I just spoke to my endocrinologist she told me to cut down b12 from daily dose to 3 time in a week.. let see what happens after 10 days👍🏼

Pbc sucks 😔

When I got my level back up with b-12 injections, dr told me to use sublingual, drops under the tongue because as we get older our stomach doesn’t absorb pill for of vitamins very well.

I know it’s hard, but try not worry about c...shhhh 🤗. Hopefully your just not absorbing enough. Ask about sublingual.

I was told we don't store B12. Excessive B vitamins is eliminated through urine. Now I wonder if I should reduce the B complex intake. :-(

I have low B12 and need to take methylated B12.

I had broader line after taking supplements for almost 2 years now it is high almost double them normal 1900 pg/ml..it means I'm not storing and my body is not absorbing or over dose of b12.. I have already talk to my dr. She told me to cut down instead of everyday I'm taking only 3 days in a week..

I've got PBC and I have a high vitamin B12 level and I don't take supplements. I don't eat a huge amount of meat so I know it's not caused by my diet. I have read that it can be caused by liver problems.

After cutting down my b12 from every day to 3 days a week my b12 is 1340 from almost 2000..I think I need to take once week now ..

Hi Sachin! I see you posted 5 years ago that you has high b12 levels. I have also high b12 and I was wondering if your level ever went down. Did you ever have any complications of high b12 levels? I wonder if PBC has something to do with the high levels.🤷🏻‍♀️ I hope you are doing well and are feeling well!
