Hi Jo_Br

thank you for sharing, this looks very promising especially as there has been no sign of it causing pruritus. Fingers crossed for phase 3 of the study.

Hope you are doing okay.

best wishes

That was the first thing I looked at funnily (or not funnily for those of us who itch) With kimphoebe mentioning she is on the new mbx8025 trial, it seems that things are moving towards more help.

I am doing OK just twiddling thumbs waiting for my appt on the 2nd August.

Need to know about the more aggressive PBC marker GP210. Hoping he will say nothing to worry about. Hope you are doing OK?

Not to badly. With the warm weather the itch is breaking through the medication thank goodness for freezers and ice :-)

Let us know how you get on after 2nd August. Hope all will be positive.

Hi Jo,

What is the PBC marker GP210? How do you test for it? My next appointment is in December. My doc always orders LFT bloods and some times lipids because my cholesterol if high for the first time on Ocaliva. PBC positive since 2012 by biopsy.u Only started OCA six months ago as I was allergic to Urso. So for five years I had nothing. I have had a couple of ultrasounds and an upper ab scope. But I am wondering what test or scans I should get as time goes on. I see my GI doc every six months so I am wondering if you have any suggestions of what I should ask tests for. The doc and I are sort of learning together. Thanks!

Hi Q8Cooper they did a batch of test they came in a letter separately from the routine bloods for ALP, IGM bilirubin etc. It's liver autoantibodies.

Full name Glycoprotein 210 and here is the best explanation en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Anti-...

I also have a positive for M2_E3 BPO also, not sure what that is and not wanting to research after seeing the positive for GP210? I am a bit frustrated with it, to be honest, a search on here found 3 people mention the GP210 and they gained no answers and did not post again.

Jo,

When I see my doc in December. I will ask him about it. He is learning just as much as I am, bless his heart. But if he doesn't know the answer, he calls colleagues and mentors looking for answers. It has been very frustrating for him to watch me for five years not being able to take Urso and him not being able to do much for me. My doc is so excited that I am on OCA he is very optimistic for me, however my LFTs went down for a couple of months but now they have climbed back to where they were, So perhaps the GP210 test will give him a way to follow my AIH. He is very hesitant to put me on steroids due to my already rapid bone loss

As for you, I will take frustrated. Much healthier than being depressed. Tells me you have a life to live!

Thanks for the info! I will send feedback regarding what my doc has to say about AIH and any other test he decides to do in this regard.

Stay Strong!

Kathy

Hi Q8Cooper Kathy,

I found a bit more about what the antinuclear tests show. A rather depressing page but it may help point the doc in the right direction medscape.com/viewarticle/75...

Hi Jo,

Actually I find this very interesting and informative. I am trying to stay informed of anything new. I failed to respond to Urso and now it looks like I am starting to fail to respond to the OCA. So I appreciate anything new on the horizon.

Thanks,

Kathy

It would be nice!! :-)

Hello, thank you for the posting Jo_Br.

I have just skimmed through the article and bookmarked the website that has further info. I am interested reading that this new Seladelpar isn't appearing to cause pruritis the awful itch as the new Ocaliva can do. I'll be following this with interest.

How good is it that a few therapies are being trialled. Gives hope to those who have PBC.

French company Genfit with it's candidate "Elafibranor" having almost the same mechanism of action (dual ppar agonist) is closer to market. But who knows what will/can happen on the road to there.

Certainly Good news for everybody .....
