Acupuncture

Has anyone tried acupuncture for PBC? I know that it is a treatment used for other autoimmune diseases. I am thinking of trying it.

Hello Vera70.

Though acupuncture won't do you any harm I am sorry to say that I can't see it doing any good for PBC. Be interested though what you think if you do have this.

Before my pbc was confirmed I had 6 rounds of acupuncture as over two years of testing my bloods were coming back increasingly troubling. I then had a liver biopsy and a confirmation that the symptoms were PBC. So...I didn't see the point in returning to the acupuncturist. I am currently somewhere between stage 1-2. At the moment Urso works for me and the symptoms that I've had since my 20s that i now understand.

I took several rounds of acupuncture, it calmed me down but did not cure pbc

Yes! I get it monthly. I started getting it weekly and now monthly. I do it for all over good health and then focus on the liver.
