I started the Ocaliva yesterday. After a bit of a battle with the insurance it's coveted. Fingers crossed this works to lower my enzymes:-)

It'll Work! Just imagine that medicine going after those nasty little antibodies and making them Stop! A lot of people seem to be helped by this medicine and you'll be one of them. Please keep us posted on your Progress!

You are so pretty. I hope and pray that this medication works for you

Aww thank you, I'll take the compliments as often as I can lol. Im aging so I don't feel very pretty these days. Plus this dreaded disease wears on us.

I am just coming in to the conversation... better than urso or can't take urso?

The Urso worked for me in the beginning, then it stopped working for some reason. I still take it but the Ocaliva acts as a booster on top of the Urso.

Hi there, I am waiting for insurance to add it to their list as well then will be joining you. Look forward to hearing how you're getting on. Curious about side effects. My doc said to try and tough thru the itch if it happens as it usually goes away in 4 months. Good luck!!

Good luck to you too!! My heptologist said that the only real side effect that has been a issue for others he has placed on it is more itching. If it gets my numbers down & slows the progression, I think I'll get some sand paper to keep by my bed lol. I already itch, mostly at night.
