[Urso462]

I was taking urso and had tongue pain and swelling allergic reaction. Went off for 3 weeks went back on, same reaction. I take 2 other medications for fibro. Did anyone else experience those type of reaction?

You should speak with your doctors about this reaction, it sounds quite severe.

Did you take capsules, it sounds like it may be something in the capsule shell rather than the urso it contains? Urso does come in tablet form if your reaction was from the capsule shell.

Candy12, I did speak to doctors about reaction. And I was taking tablets. I'm just on Elavil right now for fibro. Off anything else to see if we can get tongue to settle down.

Hello Urso462.

It might be a case that your urso is clashing with what other medications you are taking. these things have all to be taken into consideration. Apparently certain medications as listed on the Patient Info Leaflet haven't to be taken same time as urso (the one a lot use for the itching, the colestryamine is one).

Certain filling agents can cause problems. I have only taken the white tablets, coated and uncoated. There are some capsules that I believe contain food colourants that are deemed to have a warning against hyperactivity when used in sweets/foods that are given to children but I can't say if these could cause a certain reaction.

Have you tried a change of the urso before ruling it out?

Hi peridot , I have only tried tablet form. I am off everything except Elavil (that I take for fibro) right now to try to get tongue settled down. Leave it to me to come up with weird reaction.
