Hello and welcome to the club. Ocaliva? Yes I'm going to start taking it as soon as my insurance covers it. My hepatologist pbc specialist wants to see if my enzymes will go down.

Jlruggie, Phase 4 refers to the last phase of the study, not the stage of PBC disease. It explains what each phase is in the link. And I'm glad you are not at stage 4. Maybe there will be a miracle cure before we get to the end stage. I'm fighting with all my might. I'm constantly researching on-line.

Check out my thread on The Biologic Enbrel. I included a link of a case where a lady went on Enbrel for RA and it also helped with her PBC. It stops the autoimmune process from occuring, hence the damage to the bile ducts. I, myself started on Enbrel for arthritis and I am hoping that I also benefit by it suppressing the PBC.

Thanks for the welcome and good luck to you.

That's great! I'll ask my doc about Embrel too! Thank you!

Hi Gina

Looks very interesting but I checked out the sites in the UK and there are none in London which is a shame but thanks for posting

Mike you can contact the site closest to you if you are interested in being considered for the trial. Your GP could refer you for a second opinion if you were interested

I did a very similar study about 2 years ago called the retuxamab trial (think that's how they spell it a long time ago now ) but still waiting for the results, as I was the very first person to try it but it was not for me,if I was on the right medication or placebo.
