I am finally being considered for early retirement and would appreciate any advice as to what to write on the forms I have been sent. I have no idea where to start...

Early retirement

i went thro this 6 years ago with nhs but dont remember any form filling. Dont know if i can help but ask me if i can
Thanks Spoul, there's a huge form that employers, occ health and I have to complete. Just not sure whether to put my life as it was, or as it is now...big difference!!
Is it possible to get union advice about this? My rep was invaluable and I did nothing without her. You don't wanna trip yourself up now the process has started. If this helps when I previously applied for something else I was advised to write about your worst possible day. Your employers need to satisfy themselves that your unfit to work. 😉
If you are retiring with ill health you should have the support of your occupational health doctor and union. You need to tell them how you feel at this present time, especially on your bad days. Also get the support from your GP and specialist.
Hi, I was retired on ill health grounds earlier this year and I didn't have to fill in any forms. Like another response, my union rep did everything with me . Just let them see what you have and I'm sure they will help.
Thanks CathieG and Jan11, I've had no response from union rep and am due at a "final" meeting in a couple of weeks. I've been warned they may "terminate my contract", great news after 35 years in NHS. Not a great chapter in my life, but thankful for your support and listening ears on this forum.
