Had an endoscopy for varices banding and have pressure in chest and throat

Anyone had the above? I think it might be just the air they pumped in but haven't had this before

Have no experience of this Bobbycat but think you should get it checked out by a doctor. Let us know how you get on. Best wishes Diane

Hi bobbycat, I haven't had the "pressure in chest and throat" after an endoscopy (got varicies but haven't had any banded yet) - but, I do get those symptoms whenever I've had a heart attack, and/or angina attack. As liver-bird (Diane) says, get checked out by your doctor ASAP, could well be nothing, but.........

Hi thanks both..Dr thinks it is scar tissue from last months banding and this latest endoscopy has really irritated the gullet. Hes given me omzaprazole.....A stomach liner and codeine as he thinks paracetemol is not right. It certainly hurts and anything but liquid is impossible....just started to feel better after the bleed and now! Next month another endoscopy. Great!
