Thank you but from looking at the Numbers in the fibro scan chart it is not looking good, it seems I am f4, was told by someone what that means but will wait until my new Gastro tells me for sure before saying any more.

I had a fibroscan and my score was 13.5 which the nut told me it was a f3 so your score does put you at f4. When I told my liver doc they didn't seem concerned at all.

My liver doctor is a new to me one and he has ordered all these tests, so I was hoping he would contact me, as what does f4 mean, on the face book site i was told it's stage 4 cirrhosis but am a bit dubious as my old liver doc kept telling me my PBC was getting better, as in I was diagnosed with severe active PBC and now had gone to a mild dose ( his words not mine ) Thank god i have a new consultant.

I think f4 does mean cirrhosis but fibroscan is a new so may not always be acurrete. Spoke to my doc about my high score of f3 and that's what she told me. So I'm booked to get another one and if that high they may do another biopsy. I wouldn't worry to much about it if I were you though.

Oh she did say it was cirrhosis but didn't say F4 just 19.5 kpa, I have a good scene of humour so don't worry, I came home and had liver and onions for spite :o))))))

Been told today I have an over-active thyroid so now have another 6 pills a day, I won't need to eat soon, I am wondering what is going to come next. :o)

You need a sense of humour to put up with this disease. Can I ask which hospital do you attend. I m from s.wales and travel to Birmingham.
