I have right upper quadrant pain, right over my liver and into my back that comes and goes. If I have eaten too much, have gas, or just am bloated there its worse. It usually goes away with rest. As I wait for my biopsy, I am just concerned that this is a sign that things are worse. However, I cheer myself up with the fact that I've had this pain off and on for a while now and I don't seem to have any other symptoms. Does anyone have any thoughts on this? I seached the archive for ideas on this, but didn't seem to get what I was looking for.

Liver Pain?
Hi Notor, I also have daily liver pain, try not to worry remember severity of symptoms bear no relation to stage of progression. Just a thought, as you are getting pain through to your back - have you had your gall bladder checked. When you had your scan was all well with it?
I had my gall bladder removed years ago.
I wonder if the back pain is just muscular due to some inflammation in that area. Ever since I had my gall bladder removed I am sensitive to that in that area anyway. I tend to have more gas than the average person as well ever since the GB was removed. I'm just tense because my liver wasn't bothering me much a few weeks ago and now it is. Just in time for the biopsy. I guess I am concerned that it will hurt more (the biopsy) if I am having pain now without even touching it. I tend to be pretty sensitive to pain in general. The closer the biopsy gets I am getting more anxious, obviously. Thanks for your response about the stage not mattering on the symptoms.
