The weight around your middle can be from the PBC too, not just the URSO. I was having issues losing weight before the URSO and I am losing a little bit, but my main issue is trouble losing and gaining quickly if I don't watch every morsel that goes into my mouth.

I have put on over 10kgs on Ursofalk. I felt like I had morning sickness on high doses early on but cope better on low dose. Bloated huge abdomen. Grrrrr

Complete opposite here - I have lost weight. My appetite isn't what it was so putting it down to that.

I haven't put on any weight whilst taking urso for just over 3yrs now. I seem to not be able to do so. I seem to stay stuck at what I've been for the past 5yrs now. (I normally weigh in around 8 stone 10 pounds as an average as it fluctuates slightly with my menstrual cycle.)

It appears that with urso some can put weight on, others notso.

My theory with regards to some with PBC on urso putting on weight is that perhaps now the system is better able to handle digestion unlike perhaps prior. Or maybe due to taking urso one feels so much better and finds they do have a better appetite than previously.

I get a bit bloated certain times of my cycle but also having a lot of fibre can also cause this. Drinking plenty of fluids can help this.

I only take urso but not sure about if you could be prone to weight gain if you are on other medications. I know steroids can make one gain weight over a period of time on them.

Hi, I have been on urso for 15 years but in the last two years I have put on a stone in weight. I eat no more than I used to, in fact even less. In the morning my stomach and face look quite normal by night I have a massive tummy and my face gets puffy. I wondered if they had changed the fillings to the capsules or if something else is working on me. My ankles, feet, knees, wrists and fingers were so sore last night and I am also sweating quite a lot. Its so depressing. :-(

Hi I used to have a massive bloated tummy which I put down to the urso. By chance, on a set of blood tests that showed my cholesterol was high, my GP suggested having a probiotic drink each day, (to help with the cholesterol), no idea if it has made any change in that, but to my surprise my tummy started to deflate until 4 weeks later it is back to its old self! Don't know if it will work for you, but might be worth a try?

I have been on uro capsules for 6 weeks now with no side effects and a 1KG weight loss. Guess I am one of the lucky ones!
