Any article with Professor Bruce Wolffenbuttel’s involvement is really valuable . (Professor of Endocrinology and Metabolism at Groningen University .) He is exceptionally knowledgeable on B12 deficiency/ P.A. He was involved in the paper on treating Autoimmune Gastritis (N.I.C.E. uses that name for Pernicious Anaemia ) with regard to the Achlorhydria/ Hypochlorhydria that it causes

Amongst other things , it was interesting to read that in untreated Pernicious Anaemia patients with normal B12 readings , that the result could be explained by the action of the Intrinsic Factors antibodies’ interference in the assay ,

Excellent article . Every member should read it . We need all this knowledge that most GPs seem to lack . Knowledge can be a weapon in our fight to get treatment . I only say “can be “ , because we all know how difficult our battle is , even when armed with excellent information .

I’ve taken a copy to my GP!

It’s such a well written and easily understood article.

Yes, it's perhaps the most famous paper from renowned B12 expert Bruce Wolffenbuttel et al.

It was collected with other useful resources in the pinned post : "Various B12D/PA Resources" posted by jade_s, 2 years ago. You can see it in the right column ---->

There's a lot to read through but this paper is one of the best, along with a recent one he was involved with, posted on the BMJ: bmj.com/content/bmj/383/bmj...
