sorry should have said that ferritn is 30ug/l .serum folate 8.5 . i obviously have a problem with iron (133 g/l)haemoglobin estimation and 4.35 low rbc and take 200mg ferrous sulphate i per day .they dont appear to make any difference.maybe i should try foods with high iron content

Find out your ferritin level. You may have hidden anaemia.

i am anaemic but iron tabs dont alter my reading

I can only suggest heme iron that brought a rapid improvement for me over 4 months to my sub-anaemia, low ferritin condition. Chemical iron did not help.

I learnt about it on this site. Three Arrows are the US company who produce it. It is bovine in origin.

B12 is what releases energy in the cells so it suggests you do not have enough B12 in your body. Diabetes type 2 means that insulin cannot get out of the pancreas because the liver is stuffed full of fat. No insulin means no glucose is broken down and hence no energy.

The answer is to get the fat out of your liver by dieting hard for a couple of months. This way you do not need to inject any insulin or take any drugs. Providing you do not get fat again there is no reason why the diabetes 2 returns. If your blood fats are also high its because your body is craving fats to beak down into glucose so that it gets more energy so you are eating more of it.

I find that I need an accurate set of scales to check my weight daily. I used a glucose meter to check my fasting glucose levels first thing in the morning when I suspect they are too high & daily when I am dieting. I replace a meal with liquid meal replacement drinks which means I have lost 6 pounds in under 20 days. This rate of weight loss needs to be monitored by a medic.
