I particularly liked the “50% of individuals require individualized injection regimens with more frequent administration, ranging from daily or twice weekly to every 2-4 weeks, to remain symptom-free and maintain a normal quality of life” part.

At this point, I’m just going to subscribe to his articles. He’s also the main author of “The many faces of Cobalamin Deficiency” and “Vitamin B12”.

I can add those in links if anyone wants them

Great spot PlatypusProfit8077 . Essential reading. 🐺

Note that Ralph Green is a co-author, his work is also excellent.

On my own personal hobbyhorse I noted this section:

"Although several multinutrient combination preparations are available, it is advisable to use these prudently to avoid administration of excessive folate or B6 intake. Notably, excess intake of vitamin B6 can cause or exacerbate neuropathic symptoms, and excessive folate intake can negatively affect B12 status."

Been saying it for some time but it sounds like another blow to the credibility of the 5mg folic acid cult to me.

Thanks for pointing that out, I had missed it in my midnight perusal.

I’ll have to have a look into Ralph Green’s work too.

Thanks for that, Platypus.

There are medical professionals out there who are aware of what this is really like to those who have to live it ! Bruce Wolfenbuttel and Ralph Green being two main characters.

Ralph Green (Dept of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine, University of California) wrote "Vitamin B12 deficiency from the perspective of a practicing hematologist" (Blood, 11 May 2017).

Thanks - great help. I would appreciate the other links too. I’m trying to gather information to strengthen my knowledge about B12 - and so I have it to hand to “revise” before medical appointments!
