well I had sciatica and both upper and lower back pain which all went away with 2 years of daily injections.

It's very very likely related to b12.

I no longer even need ibuprofen.

What was your b12 level before your first ever injection?

Are you injecting and if so how long?

What are you doing now for injections as far as amount and frequency?

Hi Gemma, YES !!!!

Also a feeling of numbness , as if someone or something was touching my back.

The first time, I was undressed and thought my husband had crept up behind me and put his hand on my back for a laugh.

I was shocked when I turned round and nobody was there !

Also when undressed it felt like I still had clothing on my back.

These symptoms have disappeared since I was adequately treated, ie. I self inject B12 weekly.

Wishing you all the best x

Hi Gemma, I get pins and needles and a warm feeling at the base of my spine quite often. I get the same feeling if I do the yoga cat pose. I suffer from spinal stenosis as well as B12D so its difficult to work out the cause. I can't even decide if the feeling is a good sign or a bad sign.

Hi,

I need far more B12 than NHS will allow. I get pins and needles in my spine within a few weeks of a B12 injection.

In fact I had pins and needles in many places before I got treatment including groin and teeth.

Are you getting enough B12?
