New Unproven and Untested Concept.

I noticed that in online videos many are touting higher amounts of different water soluble vitamins that those amounts recommended by the medical field and experiencing better results than the patient of the medical field. I trust their experiences somewhat. Their reasons for experiencing the results are as wonky as the justification of the medical field for their recommendations.

When choosing how to supplement I find it intrinsic that the questions to be answered are:

1) Which supplements

2) What forms

3) What amounts and frequencies.

I know enough about the testing to make a choice about using them to make decisions. The testing is scientific as it is repeatable. It is the applied science/recommended treatment often seen and treated as science for reasons I do not understand that is failing the patient.

I have issues with evaluating in part as my vitamin deficiency has been life long and not at all diet related nor responsive to leafy green methodology. Some day I may calculate the bushels of leafy greens that would be appropriate per day. : )

I recently was doing a trial of 300 mg of B1 in the form of Benfotiamine and B6 50 mg in the form of P-5-P three times a day. Which was life changing. I was able to tell the difference between doses and concluded it was best to do a trial of 4 times a day.

I was going to do a trial of Magnesium in the form of L-Threonate but could no obtain in for 5 days and chose to do what I thought would lead to improvement. It may be that administering B1 in the amounts I am using can result in depleting Magnesium. I m not experiencing symptoms associated with Magnesium and chose to do that trial at a later date.

So my concept which I may apply when doing a trial of Magnesium is to take a dose morning and night and see if when I take the dose at night I experienced a downturn during the day. I am projecting that will be more reliable data than taking one dose in the morning and trying to evaluate a 24 hour dose.

I do study the toxicity guidelines/guesses and the tolerable upper limit. Understanding that the tolerable upper limit is always a safe/overly conservative guess and is often based on digestive reaction that some people experience and not related to successful results for the paticient.

I do use the concept that when adding a supplement the best outcome is no effect which indicates it is not needed. I also allow that there may be a downturn as my body adjusts. If I experience severe 'reversing out'/'paradoxical reaction' that the most likely cause is under suplimentation or incorrect self treatment.

I also use the concept that vitamin deficiency is too complex for physicians and I am better qualified to self treat than they are to treat.

I reject the concept that there is anything about the how the human body experiences vitamin deficiency requires a year to resolve rather that would be the result of inappropriate/misguided treatment. With the caveat it may take a year to discover appropriate treatment for vitamin deficiency. It took me 3+- years to understand how incorrect the current concepts were and why.

I find it helpful to consider any symptom or issue as neurological related until proved otherwise.

I believe there exists a perfect regiment for my body and there is no way to establish that regiment. I also believe that I do not have to be perfect and only need to come close enough so my body can adjust. How to get that close is the challenge.

I also reject that what I am experiencing is known to be life long and that with effective treatment I may be able to continue to eliminate issues.

I like your turn of phrase ‘leafy green methodology’. It is exactly my dietary approach. And I can’t imagine how many bushels of leaves I consume😄

Oddly as a child I always ate extra helpings of green vegetables. Maybe my body knew even then that I had a related issue.
