I have a neighbour who has Parkinsons and also a good friend who has just been diagnosed with it. I understand that it can be a consequence of B12D. Is anyone able to respond from experience, or guide me towards articles (not book titles, thanks. They never get read 🥴), or research conclusions. That would be greatly appreciated, thanks.

B12 Deficiency and Parkinsons
This might answer your question........
Hi,
I found several interesting articles when I searched online for "B12 deficiency parkinsons research".
I thought that I had read about B1 deficiency causing it. Read more on that.
They should get their B12 tested. Apart from serum B12 which is just a rough indicator, if they can get MMA and homocysteine done, it will be better. If they are deficient or even lower normal in B12, then supplementation will help. In any case, I think in any kind of neurological problems, B12 and some other B vitamins will help.
This is slightly off topic but may be of interest healthunlocked.com/cure-par...
Just what I was going to.post B12again,thank you. I've an uncle who has Parkinsons & on Metmorfin too which can affect absorption of b12, so doubke whammy, am trying to find out more. He wasn't given a loading dose, just 3 monthly injections! I've urged them to pursue further as his mobility is very much affected now.Its very difficult though, I know what a battle I had getting mine diagnosed & its not easy for them to push, but just such a simple thing to administer if it can gelp.in any way. Will keep reading, & an eye on yr post.
