Can anyone recommend the best B12 tablet available.
I can't get to my GP for my 12 weeks injection. This is due to no transport available. So in the meantime while getting a new GP practice closer to home that I can walk to, I'm going to supplement on a good B12 tablet.
Thanks.

Thanks. Yes, i will be looking for higher dose. 5000mcg. Hopefully only temporary as i have to see if my new gp are prepared to offer injections. Enquiring on Monday.
"Please can I ask which form of B12 is generally best for oral use - methyl, cyano or hydroxo?"
They all work fine if you absorb oral B12 which many with PA find they cannot, or not enough to alleviate symptoms.
Cyanocobalamin is the most tested form and so has the most evidence for its effectiveness. There are also adenosylcobalamin tablets, or combinations of the various forms. If you can absorb, they may be helpful. If you can't they will be a waste of time/money. No harm to experiment with some different ones to see what is effective.
Hi was just wondering if i should take a oral B12 , I have had B12 injections in the past couple of years ago then I had liquid form of B12 , then I stopped all for a while but now I’ve been diagnosed as having PA it’s also in the family,
I started loading 6 over 2 weeks in December/January this year I’ve just had my 3 month injection & talked my dr into every 2 months but my heart palpitations are so irregular & fast so thought maybe take a oral in between to see how I go ??? Would I need I high dose if already having injections to ?
Not really sure what’s the best thing to do had lots of good advice on here but still not sure what to do to be honest where do you order them from jarrows ?? Apparently Jarrow do a 5000mcg chewable /sub-lingual tablet . It’s methylcobalamin
Would this be ok if I take the normal Hydroxocbalamin injection from the dr as above info ?
I’ve heard some do try different forms ?
Also is it best to be a member of the pernicious anemia society if so would I then be able to speak to somebody there for more advice rather than just reading everything on here think this might be more helpful to me but do appreciate all the info on here to if so how do you become a member??
