So following on from previous post healthunlocked.com/pasoc/po... called into surgery to query what was happening with SAR. So I explain what I want to check on, blank faces, I point out it is now well past deadline and there has been no contact from them. So basically very long story cut short, they said but the system is changing, so you will only be able to have access to anything after the 1st October as that when it's changing. I pointed out the request was put in 29th August so no I would be able , legally to have my records. They then tried to tell me that the extra information was now on MyGP app, I pointed out it was not full records and it was inaccurate, another 5 mins of mind numbing circular discussion at which point I said yes we'll see, and left as I was well and truly at the end of my tether and didn't want to risk prison. Think I need to ramp it up a bit,,, mmm what next?

Hi Polo22,

Sallyfr works in this area so, hopefully they may kindly advise.

I need to snuggle down and watch a film as got a baddie ear. I do everything in writing; it is non confrontational and factual. I do know clerical staff work very hard in the NHS and the computer systems can be a right pain in the proverbial for them.

Have a big relax over the weekend and then think of a cunning plan on Monday. I’m a big Black Adder fan. So, on Monday, start thinking a plan so cunning you could put a tail on it and call it a weasel.

I love Black Adder too, not too keen on Turnips mind 🤣😂😀, if it's ouchy earache my mum used to heat up salt in a pan and pour into a thick sock for me to hold on my ear or lie on to try and ease it, it helped

Thank you,

Hot water bottle is my best mate at the moment. I too am not a big fan of turnips.

Thank goodness for Sallyfr. It is great to have experts on here.

I will leave you with this,

Once upon a time there was a little sausage called Baldrick, who lived happily ever after.

🤣😂

hi, I would make a complaint now to the ICO and explain what they have done and said in writing. The Information Commissioners Office is the regulator in this area. The surgery have committed a data breach if they are saying that your information is unavailable in addition to not progressing your SAR and keeping you up to date about it. Let me find an email address and I will post it below for you to make a complaint.

This is a link to the complaints section on the ICO website.

It says I have to give them a chance to rectify things first, I have enquired by phone and in person twice so think I'll fire a warning shot, short polite reminder in writing that they have failed to comply to my request, that they have not informed me of the reasons for their failure, and that they need to rectify this situation ASAP, if they fail to do so I shall inform ICO and follow their advice,

Hi Polo

What a pain they are being!

I had a similar situation trying to obtain my nephew’s hospital notes as I am his LPA.

I agree with Sallyfr. I called the ICO and they were very helpful and advised me to put a complaint in immediately via the website.

Sometimes enough is enough. You have better things to do, bigger fish to fry so hand over to the big guns.
