All of the above. But according to my G.P., its all down to my age. As I went through the menopause over ten years ago, I don't think so. Why is everything down to your age, or stress, or depression etc. It can't POSSIBLY be anything else.......or so we are told. 🤦‍♀️

Hi totallyFrustrated,

I’m so sorry to read. COVID can be a real devil. Up to 70 % of our immune system is in the gut. So, unfortunately if we have PA/B12D we can get whacked.

It’s no consolation but yes, your symptoms are most probably as a consequence of both. However, there are certain things that you can do. More B12, ensure other vitamins and minerals, good diet. Some people take keffir, live yoghurt, use apple cider vinegar, lime juice but only you know you. If the thought of eating green peppers or spinach makes you turn your nose up. Then it’s highly likely you cannot tolerate them. The body does tell us things. When it craves beetroot or coconut water, it’s more than likely saying, Hey, I need some more potassium.

The brain really likes magnesium too, it chills us out, helps us sleep, relaxes muscles. People bath in it or soak their feet in it.

The other most important aspects are hydration and resting. Relaxing is an art form.

Hope you feel better soon.

Hello, I m afraid so all of the above. My insomnia has improved 🤞but the other two appear if I get overtired. However im only several months into self treatment. Best wishes.

Oddly enough those are 3 symptoms that I have not had, and I have had a lot of different symptoms! Just goes to show how different we all are. I wonder if anyone has collected groups of symptoms for different conditions? Sounds like a good thing to give to ai to sort out!

actually those were supposed to be 4 symptoms. In the header is BP. 😇

In hindsight I think insomnia (the frequent waking kind) was one of my earliest symptoms, and lasted a few years before the other stuff followed. Problem was that I’ve historically been bad at falling asleep and I just thought my sleep issues had changed as I approached middle age. It also followed from my children being terrible sleepers in their early years, so I doubly dismissed my wakings as habitual.

I am currently undertreated but there is definitely a sweet spot in between injections where I sleep much better. 🙂

I did have some night sweats which again I dismissed as just having too warm a duvet, and then I started sleeping with a fan. I had a hot flush yesterday and I really don’t know if it’s a new B12 symptom or a sign that I’m starting perimenopause. 🤷‍♀️

I just want to know when perimenopause finishes. After 20 years of that, I really want to stop. surely age 68 all menopause symptoms should have gone? Last menses age 47 isch....please let it be over soon

Sweats could be hormonal but could also be Magnesium deficiency etc with problems in temperature control? Could also be inflammatory due to B12 deficiency and raised homocysteine levels-or as stated an infection or a leaky bowel triggering an autoimmune response? Minerals, vitamins, water, decent food, sleep, B12 and the best wishes to find answers 🥰
