well i've traveled to europe from US, also chile and domestically in the US quite a bit. I have always carried my needles and ampules in my carryon. I put the amules in a bag as required (in USA by TSA), but needles in a hard or semihard container. it is just a simple tupperware container that I got from takeout food that I washed. That just protects the needles from damage. I HAVE NEVER had any problems.

I can't speak for the country you are going to.

I also carried a prescription; however, i have NEVER been asked for it.

Just carry it on.
