HAD AN EMAIL FROM BODFELD-APOTHEKE.DE STATING THAT DELIVERIES TO U.K. ARE NO LONGER POSSIBLE .

No reason given . I tried to think of a reason . First thought it might be because the B12 ampoules we buy from them are a prescription item in U.K. I know that strictly speaking they should not dispense prescription only items to a country where that is the case . But they still deliver to Ireland where B12 ampoules are also a prescription item .

So we will never know.

Oh, wow! Bother. I hope it's not a slippery slope.

Thank you for finding out and letting us know.

Best wishes!

Oh wow, I just ordered from apohealth.de and my order is being delivered tomorrow in case anyone is running low now x

Strange how they'll send to Ireland but not UK?

Maybe Brexit issues?

Like you say, hope they all don't follow suit, or I'll be looking for cheap flights to Germany!!

oh dear that is worrying, I'm registered with them and have always found them very good. I hope the other German companies don't follow suit.

As you are registered with Bodfeld , I think that you will be able to order from them .

I'm guessing Brexit strikes again! We were warned this was the kind of thing to expect, and sadly many wrote it off a "scare mongering". Now what am I gonna do?

There are still quite a few German online pharmacies that supply U.K. .

apohealth.de

versandapo.de

To name 2 .

Ampavit.com are still doing Methycobalamin b12 i believe and I find it better anyway- not stingy

Silverfox2 profile image
Silverfox2 in reply to CarlaEP

I had a look on there and can't find any? What am I doing wrong here? :(

wedgewood profile image
wedgewood in reply to Silverfox2

I’ve looked -They have Cynocobalamin and Methylcobalamin. . But no Hydroxocobalamin. The Cyno is made in Thailand and the Methyl in Japan . The Methyl is only 0.5 mg instead of our usual 1mg

Expensive .

Oh crap. I suffer from interstitial cystitis and it was only the Hydox version that didn't burn me. ;( Now what am I going to do.

Jo55 profile image

not B12 related but have you tried Sweetcures Waterfall D-Mannose for your interstitial cystitis

No because I don't have an infection. Mine is auto immune based sadly.

Thankfully I'm fine for the rest of this year but, I'm guessing I may still have issues ordering from them if they are not shipping to the UK. It is definitely a worrying situation and I dread to think the problems many of us will encounter if we cannot buy from Germany and are unable to SI.

I am registered with Bodfeld. . I tried ordering and was taken straight up to paying , with no trouble , But I don’t need ampoules at the moment . So I think that if you are already registered with them , they will supply . But no new U.K. customers because U.K. is not on the drop-down country list anymore .

WWWJAN profile image
WWWJAN in reply to wedgewood

Well that's reassuring to me so, hopefully when I do need to reorder I won't encounter any problems and likewise for yourself....thanks for the info

We need a middle man!

Maybe this is a business opportunity 🤔

We need a Irish resident to order for us and then post on to us for a small fee 😃

wedgewood in reply to SallyRees

The idea is great , and it’s good to think of ways round this situation , but I hope that it never has to come to that . There are stil a few German online pharmacies that deliver to U.K.

Probably Bodfeld will still deliver to registered customers.

I did ask Bodfeld the reason for stopping deliveries to U.K. , but they never revealed it . Just said it was no longer possible .

SallyRees profile image
SallyRees

As you say let’s hope it never comes to that. What with shortages and postal issues our resolve is certainly being tested eh 🤨

Yes! We are going through a difficult patch . But think how much worse it would be without our PAS and this forum ! 👍

100% I could never express how much this forum means to me 💕 Hate to think where I’d be without it. Forever grateful x

Maybe because Ireland is still in EU?

wedgewood profile image
wedgewood

Well, Bodfeld will deliver to Norway and Iceland , neither of which are in the EU .

Bellabab profile image
Bellabab in reply to wedgewood

No but they are in the EFTA so not a problem.

Marlboro123 profile image

They also deliver to the Falkland islands as that is on their drop down list.

wedgewood profile image
wedgewood

Yes . I cannot understand it . I asked them for a reason , but they gave me none. If it were Brexit , it would have happened long ago . Also Norway and Iceland are not in EU . If they had decided not to sell B12 ampoules to countries where it is a prescription item ( like U.K. ) they would exclude Ireland . So what could the reason be?

Wallylyn profile image
Wallylyn

I just tried Versandapo and they said not without a prescription.

wedgewood profile image
wedgewood

They are obliged to say that if you ask them , because they must be seen to confirm to the German Pharmacy rules , which state that they must obey the pharmacy rules of the country that they deliver to . The U.K. pharmacy rules only allow B12 ampoules to be supplied with a prescription . But as long as you don’t ask , versandapo and other German online pharmacies will supply U.K. , because they know that B12 ampoules are harmless , unlike most prescription items . Best not to ask , or they might decide that they have to follow the rules ! I asked them by email and was told the same as you .
