Update from the United States

I just wanted to share some good news with other people that would understand. I spoke to my GP today and told her that I seemed to feel better on weekly shots and even my husband had noticed a difference. She said ideally that if we could get my levels up high enough she would like to see me on monthly shots but if we end up with weekly to make me feel better then she was onboard. I feel so blessed to have this doctor. She is younger than me so hopefully she won’t retire on me anytime soon!!!

Good to hear that. That's wonderful news.

A shame more doctors are not looking at or listening to their patients when it comes to treatment frequency needs. Partners and friends seem to notice straight away !

That's wonderful! She sounds like my doctor. Doctors who listen to their patients are hard to find.

Hi Voltsfan!

This is my very first post after diagnosis last month and decades of suffering. Your post caught my eye as I was searching because I am also in the US and have struggled to find a doctor to treat me properly.

Are you willing to share your doctor’s name? It doesn’t seem that any doctors here specialize in PA.

I just started injections a few weeks ago but the doctor treating me wants to use serum B12 to determine injection frequency vs my severe symptoms.

I hope I am not violating any forum guidelines but am desperately seeking a knowledgeable US doctor.

Thanks,

SQ

Hey Soulquest, I’m not sure of the restrictions regarding sharing doctors names. I am in Chattanooga, TN. I would be very happy to share if your in my area. My doctor is not a specialist or expert in PA but is very patient oriented, open to discussion regarding patient care and does her research. Just let me know if you’re still interested in her info. Good luck to you!

Thanks for the reply! Sounds like you’re a bit too far from me (in IL).

I’ll keep searching but appreciate your response.

Good health to you!
