Can anybody point me in the right direction for buying b12 ampoules, everywhere out of stock!

Hi, went to my normal german pharmacist but it appears they are out of stock and have tried others, all saying the same which is a big worry as nearly out of my supplies. Anybody have a insight into why this is and an alternative supplier that is in stock please.

Although you don’t mention it , I assume that you are referring to Panpharma b12 depot ampoules . This brand seems to be unobtainable at the moment . . But there are others that aren’t . —namely

Pascoe B12 depot -( 1.5mcg x 1ml )

Hevert B12 depot (1mcg x 2ml )

You should ask for “Depot” as this refers to Hydroxocobalamin , other wise you get Cynocobalamin.

I chose the Pascoe because I prefer to inject 1ml

They are obtainable at your usual German on line Pharmacy . They are more expensive than the Panpharma . They are excellent . I’ve tried to find out why we can’t get the Panpharma anymore , and failed . I was in Germany recently and asked that question at 3 high street pharmacies. They had no idea . I emailed the online pharmacy that I order with , and received no reply . So it’s a mystery .

Just checked out their website and ironically their biggest brag is that they distribute around the world and they specifically mention Germany.

Did you email the company or just the pharmacy, Wedgewood? If companies don’t blame covid it’s brexit these days but surely that can’t go on 🤷🏻‍♀️ I wish we knew what’s going on once and for all. It sure would remove some of the anxiety when going to purchase and order.

I emailed the pharmacy asking why we couldn’t get Panpharma .b12 depot

They sent the usual animated reply saying that they would respond asap , but never did . But I asked a few high street pharmacies when I was in Germany in the New Year , but they just said they had no idea .

Very odd! You’d think the pharmacies would have been told if they were discontinuing the product.

I have emailed Panpharma. and had a very swift reply from Panpharma U.K. saying that they don’t have market authorisation for B12 in the U.K. ( why he mentioned this , I don’t know. That wasn’t my question )

He want on to explain that there was a general problem with supply of B12 because “there is very little raw material available “ Went on to say it was not possible to say when the situation might improve .

I find it strange that other pharmaceutical companies still manage to produce B12 ampoules, but not Panpharma . I remember fbirder saying that there were 2 massive producers of the basic material in China , and. small facility in France .

I contemplated emailing them but didn’t think they’d respond. Old fbirder eh! He knew his stuff.

Doesn’t add up though, as you say how come the other manufacturers have managed to obtain it 🤷🏻‍♀️ I suppose at least they didn’t say they’d discontinued it and there’s hope it may return. 🤞 Oh and although it states it’s sold out on apohealth I notice the price has risen 🙄

I'm sure Panpharma are still producing hydroxocobalamin for Accord, which would contradict his reason of no raw materials.

I'll find out for sure when I get my next prescription.

Apohealth have B12 with 2025 useby. Just ordered and on their way.

Yes, but not the Panpharma brand , which is very popular because the price was good and it was 1mcg x 1ml ampoule

I've recently received hydroxocobalamin 1500 micrograms ampoules from Amazon.de
