I need to take Augmentin - Has anyone used this without issues?

I have an infection with very few options right now. I had a bad reaction to Trimethoprim and Doxycycline when I tried them (prior to taking high dose b12 and realizing I had a b12 deficiency).

My side effects for both was intense burning and tingling.

So, now I need to take something.... Augmentin is the one I am looking at right now as the bacteria is sensitive to it.

Question: Has anyone here been able to tolerate this antibiotic while they were treating their B12 deficiency and were the side effects manageable? Did you take it while your nerves were still repairing?

Thanks all :)

I could deal with that lol. I'm specifically worried about it worsening my neuropathic pain a lot. It seems most people do fine with it though from responses I've got elsewhere too.

I've taken it without any problem a few times.

you could take a probiotic specifically for use when on antibiotics Optibac do them have a look online,I buy from Amazon, can never undestand why my dog automatically gets given a probiotic to take if on antibiotics from our great vet but gps are totally disinterested in prescribing this treatment to us or at least advise us to take. Best of luck.

Vets are more knowledgeable and allowed to treat humans.

GPs are only qualified to treat people.

your so right Polaris they have me flagged on their system that I have p.a and my puppy can’t have kennel cough as it’s a Live vaccine and because my immune system is compromised it’s not safe for me as I can catch kennel cough which looking back now I probably did from my previous little girl around 7 years ago.I was Ill for months with a “ barking” cough (lol) had every test under the sun from my then gp practice,I should have gone and seen vet lol.
