Through a Freedom of Information request to the North East and North Cumberland ICB, I have learned that Tess Valley is currently developing local guidelines but in the meantime prescribers should folliw the national guidelines on the management of B12 deficiency.
For others reading this thread some ICBs (Integrated Care Boards) will be developing new guidelines as CCGs (Clinical Commissioning Groups) in England were replaced by ICBs in July 2022. Some have adopted the clinical guidelines of the CCGs they replaced.
I think both ICBs In England and Health Boards in Wales/Scotland are likely to update their local B12 deficiency guidelines after new NICE guidelines on PA and B12 deficiency are published in Nov 2023.
Not sure about situation in NI (Northern Ireland).

If you click on "project documents" then on "consultation comments and responses" it gives a good insight into current issues around diagnosis and treatment (lots of pages).
I urge UK forum members to keep an eye on their local guidelines as they can get reviewed at short notice.
Read blog post below if you want to know why I feel it's so vital to know what's in local guidelines.
The ICB mentioned in blog post is still using the same guidelines as the previous CCG.
