Hevert B12 ampoules

Hi. Just wondered if anyone uses Hevert B12. I always used Rotexmedica but it seems unavailable now. I had bought the Hevert ampoules some time ago but was reluctant to use them as they were new to me. I am a very anxious person and on the spectrum so don’t like change. They are still in date. Can anybody let me know if they have used Hevert? Many thanks

May I ask how often you inject?

I get two monthly injections at the surgery. I used to SI around twice weekly but have tailed off to maybe every couple of weeks. But I am on PPIs now and know they deplete your B12. I only have one ampoule of Rotexmedica left.

Hervert is totally fine in that case. It usually comes as a 2ml injection, so it needs a longer gap between injections so your muscles can heal. Ive used it and it works fine when injected infrequently.

I have been using Hervert for a year or so, since I think it is the only option available on amazon.de at the moment. It is fine. The ampules are 2ml so take slightly longer to inject than the 1ml Rotexmedica that I used before. I was interested to read here that these 2ml ampules should be used less frequently than 1ml 'to allow muscles to heal'. Hadn't heard that before - I have been injecting every other day with Hervert 2ml for about a year and, yes, I do have muscle pains quite frequently. I assumed this was just another B12 symptom. Would be nice to know if anyone else has experience of this...

Your other option is to use Pasco that contains 1.5 mg in one ml. Should reduce the need for injections saving scars and syringes + needles = better for environment. I am using this with 1 x Monday - 1 x Wednesday - 1 x Friday and its excellent. I intend to drop the Wednesday jab in February. Widely available and affordable.

You need to register with them. Nicked from wedgewood:-

To register or log in , click on the little silhouette of a head and shoulders ( top right on my iPad ) and fill out the form . ITS VERY IMPORTANT TO FILL IN YOUR COUNTRY BEFORE YOU ADD THE REST OF YOUR ADDRESS . Click on the drop-down list of countries. The U.K. is written in German as “ VEREINIGTES KÖNIGREICH” ( United Kingdom) Once you have done that , your U.K. postal code will be accepted by the computer . The computer needs to know your country before it will accept the rest of your address .

I changed from Rotexmedica to Hevert 2ml phials of 1000 ug cobalamin about 4/5 months ago as it was the only B12 available at that time.

Whether it’s just coincidence, or that I’ve now healed sufficiently to need less frequent injections I’m not sure, but I’ve been able to space injections out from every other day to every four/five days since using Hevert.    I’ve usually relied on finding symptoms returning, (fatigue, stumbling over words, and, particularly gums bleeding), before injecting again, but curiously this doesn’t happen any more since injecting Hevert 🤗

Hope they work as well for you too, Misaya

Hevert b12 depot (Hydroxocobalamin) are excellent and work just as well as Panpharma. But they are more expensive, and are 2ml , not 1ml but same strength. I have used them ,and they work very well .
