I've been taking monthly injections of B12 for PA for quite a few months now and would say that energy levels and health have much improved. Lately however I have increased how often I attend the gym in an effort to get fit. I now workout quite a lot.
Just lately I have started to have more digestive issues (mainly nausea) and increased fatigue.
Does working out excessively amplify the symptoms of PA in your experience?
Thanks for your advice

I'm definitely lots better since I started injections, but perhaps take that to mean I can go back to hammering the gym. Which I prob can't. At least not to the manic extent I've started to lately.
My sister, who's definitely the healthier one out of the two of us, had been on daily hydroxo jabs for a year. She got back into exercising and felt worse on those days. She now does 2 injections on exercise days and feels like it helps.
I suspect exercise just uses up b12 more quickly.
6 years in and i'm just thinking about exercising again lol.
Thanks Jade. Makes sense. And I'm only on 1 injection per month. The last week before injection is always a tough one. This time more so I think due to overdoing things.
I had a similar experience. I was on weekly injections and doing good as far as neuropathy being better and more energy so I started exercising again. I noticed the more I exercised the more quickly symptoms returned. Injecting every three days has been a good schedule for me. Thankfully my neurologist is supportive and lets me guide the frequency of injections. Every three days seems to keep symptoms as bay and allows me to exercise. I mainly walk but plan to return to the gym soon so we’ll see how that goes.
I am sure there is a link between activity levels and injection frequency. For years I was on injection routines varying from monthly to weekly. For several months now I have been doing twice a day 1 mg hydroxo and have had very few severe energy crashes. I'm certainly not ready to run a marathon, but I can at least function at a much better level. Everyone is different and has different needs, but in my opinion the goal should be to get as much as you need, not see how little you can get by with.
I totally agree with you, I don’t believe in let’s see if I can get away with 1 injection a week. If people need it daily, EOD then that is what they need. In times of ‘stress’ (moving home, pregnancy, exercise) we will need more.
I have an extremely active job and am noticing my levels are dropping at a faster rate. The analogy I often use is that if you drive your car at 56mph you will get the best fuel consumption, any faster ??????
