Had my b12 loading doses in July. My folate at that time was 9ug/l.Have been taking 800mcg folate since then. Recent folate is 7ug/l. Should I increase my folate dosage even though its in normal range?

Folate falling
I would personally wait Why not try eating more folate rich foods too.
Or trying another make of folic acid tablet.
800mcg does seem a high enough maintenence
Double the NHS recommended daily dosage
Have you folate deficiency symptoms?
Can you check bloods agsin in 3 months?
Also get your iron and vit d checked .
Have you been taking Folic Acid rather than any kind of methylfolate (such as Metafolin, Quatrefolic or L-methylfolate)? During initial treatment, the synthetic folic acid is required to provide a metabolic pathway to unlock folates that are in the "folate trap". As far as I know methylated folates will not do the same job as they require an enzyme called methionine synthase which you will not have enough of due to the B12 deficiency. After that initial deficiency is corrected over some months you could either stay on folic acid or use the methylated folates if you prefer them.
Its just OTC folic acid 400ug. I take 800ug as I thought folate needed to be in the upper range t help using the b12.
OK sounds good.. As Nackapan mentioned, increasing dietary folates might be a good option then... upping intake of leafy greens, fruit, wholegrains. There is an initial draw on folate levels but 800mcg is still a good dosage unless there's a severe absorption problem. Some food sources: healthline.com/nutrition/fo...
