Bruising after B12 injection

Hello,

I have been injecting daily for a few years now but I have recently started to bruise where I inject.

I have increased the dose and have also started injecting magnesium which I though would cause an issue but hasn't so far.

Any ideas on how to stop the bruising?

Have you checked iron or ferritin levels recently? Low levels are said to increase chances of bruising. Platelets checked?

I have no experiece injecting magnesium.

Hi! I SI daily too. Sometimes I get bruises at my injection sites much more than other times. I haven't conclusively worked out if it's linked but sometimes I bruise badly everywhere. I'm not certain of the reason for that either (sorry, I'm not being very helpful!), but I know it could be because my iron levels get low.

As Jade says it is worth checking. I confess I haven't bothered because here you have to wait so long for blood test appointments I can't afford to be deficient for that long; I just increase my meat/fish/iron bisglycinate intake and hope it improves. It always does and usually before I can remember to make careful notes!

Over time I've got used to getting deficiency symptoms of various things and have written a list down so if I'm feeling crook, I check my list and act accordingly.

I hope you can get it worked out!
