Gp 4th update

The Gp asked advice of a neurologist I've never met as concerned about frequency of my b12

On prescription i have b12 injections 2 weekly.

I've noticed on the NHS app the reply.

Noone wax courteous enough to contact me!

Only can access 1 page of 3.

It states .

Thd patient could continue with 2 weekly injections of b12 if this is improving her symptoms.

Although ususl maintenencr dose is 2-3 monthly.

So looks as though if advice taken my treatment will continue !!!

Will print off thst reply

It then says ;

If persistent low b12 a referrslto heamatologist could be arranged as advised by ......

(I saw that ....neurologist in feb

2019 )

I doubt my b12 will ever be low so j doubt a referral will happen.

So just my medical notes to be corrected now. As still has 2 monthly and 3 monthly written by a nurse In January.

3 letters and 3 emails ignored .

7 weeks now

Rang snd got through. Was initially 23rd in queue!-

Only to be told they would message practice Manager can't be put through.

This happened a few weeks back. No response

And Gp not in until thd 18th. Can't book ahead so

start ringing st 0800 again on thd 18th

This is making contact impossible.

One break through 🤞

Ok will do but god help him if he upsets me.

They really are trying your patience with regard to your B12,. It is all such hard work battling with these people just to get our much needed medication.

I hope you get it resolved soon.

Well done. You are an inspiration to us all. You must be exhausted by the effort though. Keep well.

Thank goodness for treatment to continue but you have had to go through so much just for that.

Well done on persistence.

Sending my best

Have you considered raising a formal complaint about their inability to correct your records?

I thought they had to respond within a certain time period eg a month

ICO (Information Commissioners Office) - Right to get data corrected

ico.org.uk/your-data-matter...

Maybe ICO can help although involving them will probably upset your GPs.

Yes the formal letter ready.Thank you for all the links.

At present as ig seems my regime has been 'santioned'

I'm presuming my notes wili be updated .

As thd nurse is no longer there ??

And didn't correct 'her' own incorrect entry nos more difficult.

So if s subsequent entry is made overriding the errors that will be okay.

I've tried agsin to speak to the practice Manager.

I know the receptionist is 'tasking her ' face to face and online

I can't book an appointment with the gp partner until next week as on annual leave.

That is my cut off.

I'm more thzn aware how important and also about data protection.

Also access to notes changing from 1/4/22

I don't really want to escalate it at present.

Its the vulnerability of my position.

Gps do not have to take a specialist opinion .

They close ranks and could make my life really difficult.

Not nice and not professional but happens. So far I've stayed assertive. Consistent. And crystal clear in my letters and emails.

It all sitting there documented.

No idea why they have not acted.

This happened before.

Opinion treatment plan ignored from s neurologist.

I was persistent

about 'prescribing ' off licence'

Then it was suddenly overturned I'm my favour.

I wax asked for ID and to fill out a form to request blood results printed off yesterday.

I didn't have photo ID on me.

Burocracy gone mad.

The receptionist dud say she knew who i was!!!!and looked at s bank card

What is all that about. Now have x wait of up to 30 days and another trip to collect them??

I used to ask if back and thd receptionist would probably them off in the past.

Need a break from it all until partner gp back.

Oh my gosh! The time and effort your doctors are putting in to deny you your B12 shots is astounding. If only for efficiency's sake, it would behoove them to just give you your damn B12 shots. What are they afraid of? If they give into your demands everyone will be breaking down their doors for shots?

Yes. Quite ridiculous but seems though nothing has changed.

Neurologist has given them the advice wanted.

Which if course will be printed off and retained.
