Hiya!

I was just wondering if a B12 deficiency can result in a positive Hoffman's test? Just got a later from Neurology and feeling a little nervous about it!

Thank you!!

Try not to worry .

The hoffmans test is to look at the central nervous system for damage which could be causing any neurological symptoms.

I have got to see a neurologist next month to discuss findings on my brain scan. Albeit these things are of concern it is important to find out the cause.

Keep us updated if you would be so kind. Jill

Yes, definitely!

I read that it was above 50% that those with a positive Hoffman's have spinal lesions so the odds don't mean much haha. I'm not sure how conclusive this test really is so I suppose it's just the wait for the MRI. Don't have a date for that though... I assume that'll be a couple months away.

I hope your appointment goes well! Fingers crossed.
