My 83 yrs mother had a heart attack 2 years ago and ever since has been suffering from an extremely sore mouth that is relentless. She has been waiting 13 months for her referral, I am thinking it’s sore mouth syndrome. Does anybody have any advice please.

Hi,
I haven't come across the term sore mouth syndrome before. I'm in the UK.
I hope your mum has found something that helps her with the discomfort.
Do you think your mum has PA (Pernicious Anaemia) or B12 deficiency from another cause?
I have read that B12 deficiency can cause a variety of symptoms in the mouth.
Link to a thread I started about signs of B12 deficiency in the mouth.
