Pain and numbness in left hand, arm, chest.

I have pain and numbness in left hand, arm, chest.

Some times it gets better and from last two day it got worse.

Doctors did ECG and some other tests as well and they couldn't find any issues with the heart.

I always feel tired and pain in my joints.

I feel pain in my shoulders as well.

I can't figure out anything yet.

Any advice please?

I can only think that increased regularity of injections of B12 would help . If you are unable to get these from your GPyou can self inject ( advice available ) I can advise this because we know that one cannot overdose on B12 . Also do take a modest B9 tablet daily ( 400 mcg folic acid )

Best wishes .

I'm glad you have got your heart checked - that has to be the first thing to rule out with those problems.

Could you have a trapped nerve in your back anywhere? Can you stretch and flex readily in any direction? You could try looking up "frozen shoulder" online. Chiropractors and Osteopaths have a lot of knowledge from extensive training and it could well be worth seeing a good one for ideas beyond musculo-skeletal issues. Physios are available in most areas too and often you can do a self referral.

Do you have any gut issues? Some of the nerves from your gut translocate pain to your left shoulder. If you need to burp a lot it could well be what's causing it. If my guts get bad I feel like I want to pull my arm off! B12 deficiency usually arises from some digestive system problem and so this may be causing this problem too.

It sounds like they checked your electrolytes (potassium and maybe magnesium, calcium, possibly iron) when they checked your heart and they were OK but it would be good to know what they did check and what the results were, if you can get them.

Magnesium is possibly the one I'd question most under the circumstances, knowing that they will have checked potassium.

Have you any idea of your vitamin D levels?

These are just a few ideas and I hope you can find a solution soon. I'd really appreciate hearing what you discover it to be!

Ranaz, problems caused by B12 deficiency tend to be symmetric because B12 works at the cellular level. If you are having problems that are just on one side that suggests that the issue is more likely to be something like a trapped nerve - probably in the neck.

as denisinmilden suggests seeing a physio would be a good move as they may be able to suggest some exercises that might help ease the issues.

Have you had your vitamin D3 checked? Very important at the moment for everybody, but especially for those with darker skin, who cannot absorb it easily living in Northern hemisphere.

This is a fascinating discussion by three scientists - two of whom have been working on the latest research :

Hey Ranaz @, sorry to hear you’re feeling so poorly. Hoping you get an answer and a mode of recovery very soon.

Interesting you should post this now, as I too have been having a bizarre episode of feeling ‘off’ on the left of my body. It started up following my Pfizer booster injection a week ago, and hasn’t gone away.

The sensation is occasionally painful, but more often just uncomfortable and ‘wrong/weird’—like someone very deeply gripping or squeezing or kneading the wrong places inside my left side—in the hinge of my jaw, in my upper mid back, in my neck and shoulder, and in the left side of my chest. There is also a sort of ‘swollen’ feeling in my upper left body, and my heart is thudding enough to keep me awake all night (didn’t sleep til 4AM last night!) Apparently heart problems are uncommon in my age/sex group (young female), but instances of SCAD or pericarditis still do happen often enough to worry me.

Given that I began EOD SI (IM) a month ago, I’m tempted to put it all down to that and my tendency to panic, but I know I can’t take it that lightly in light of my recent vaccine. Recently, I read a fascinating comment on this board signposting to a medical publication about thiamine/B1 depletion due to B12 supplementation, and this could account for my symptoms too. (Sidebar can anyone expand on the thiamine paradox in simple terms? Trying to get my head round it😅)

I also wonder if my strange feeling could be coming from a nerve/infection issue from impacted wisdom tooth (mine are embedded in my gums at a 45 degree angle and therefore can’t be removed while they erupt :/) that I couldn’t feel before SI as my nerves were numb and shot. My teeth look fine, and my recent dental appointment didn’t flag anything of note, but you never know. Or perhaps I’ve slipped a disc, as before SI I experienced a few alarming and searing spinal pains in my lower mid back.

There’s so much it could all stem from that it’s overwhelming, and I don’t know what to think. I don’t think I can even present all this to a GP in ten minutes! It’s genuinely upsetting, too, as before I took the COVID Booster I was doing so much better on SI, and for the first time in ages not feeling too bad in terms of general health. It feels like being back at square one.

And I’m still having to make do

without a proper diagnosis of *why* I even had B12 deficiency & neuropathy to begin with (thanks NHS!🙄)

Sorry, rant over. Let’s hope we both find a way through the woods before long, eh?✌️

These symptoms from the "vaccine" are very serious and far more common than the population is being allowed to know. Please do not ignore. Go back to the Dr and ask for a D-dimer test and to check/test for any signs of myo/pericarditis.

Hey, thanks for your response. For various reasons I don’t really want to get into political discourse on this thread/board, so I hope you don’t mind if I just stick to talking about what I’ve experienced personally.

Last vaccine dose I had (the one pre-booster), I had the same symptoms only much worse. So I took myself to A&E in the nearest city hospital and stayed there all night (literally—sat in the cold and dark with local drunks for eight hours), in order to get a slot with a the next available doctor. They took bloods etc. When I finally got in the room, visibly distressed and exhausted (I’d been pacing for hours), I laid out my symptoms—the doctor gave me a ECG, looked it over, said I was fine and to stop panicking, and sent me home. By this point, I was so shook up and confused that I just didn’t have any energy to argue, nor did I have enough knowledge to protest. Maybe the doctor was right and there was nothing major wrong besides an immune response; maybe there is/was something wrong and they were just covering their own arse, not seeing me as a priority or a convenient/worthwhile patient—who knows.

That was back in summer. Eventually, I did seem to be on the mend, after living with symptoms for a few months. However, it was about this time that my neuropathy/B12 deficiency cane to attention and grew too bad to ignore or write off (though my Gp surgery did try to!) and it’s this that makes me wonder if the two medical problems are connected (but that’s another thread..)

Five days on from what I posted upthread, I’m feeling less awful, but still not great. The weird gripping sensations have largely abated, and while my heartbeat still feels a little too heavy or salient, it isn’t going as strongly. Insomnia is receding too, but more slowly. Now, though, I’m experiencing body itching, red/flushed extremities, some kind of odd nail discolouration (like Terry’s/Lindsay’s nails, but only on a few fingers?), gastro issues, and more frequent thirst/urination. Really, it’s hard to work this out.

As above, B12 symptoms are usually bilateral. It could be any of the suggestions above but if you have been having the new "vaccines" then it definitely could be that. It is a known adverse effect on the heart but is not picked up easily. If this is a possibility, it is serious so go back to the Dr and ask for a D-dimer and tests for myo/pericarditis.

Here is some more info for you:

If there is suspicion of myocarditis, particularly in the first week following vaccination, timely medical review is important. Those who appear unwell should be referred to an emergency department for examination and the following primary investigations:

blood tests for cardiac biomarkers, such as troponin

electrocardiogram (ECG).

Other tests should be considered if the patient is unwell or the tests above are abnormal:

chest X-ray (CXR)

other tests related to investigating differential diagnoses such as inflammatory markers (C-reactive protein (CRP) and erythrocyte sedimentation rate (ESR)

bedside or formal ultrasound/echo

cardiac MRI

Consistent findings of myocarditis may include elevated troponin, ECG changes (ST or T-wave abnormalities, premature atrial or ventricular complexes) as well as abnormal echocardiogram or cardiac MRI.

Individuals who are investigated for myocarditis following mRNA vaccination should avoid high-intensity exercise until symptoms have resolved is recommended.

Cardiologist advice and follow-up is strongly recommended.
