Hi SickNessa
I usually source my dietary potassium from nuts and seeds, fruit, beef, etc, but can't get all I need that way so also use LoSalt. It is 66% potassium chloride (34% sodium chloride). It is a better option than usual table salt (sodium chloride) if you use that.
I actually make own "ready meals" by batch cooking simple things so that I can avoid all additional sources of sodium chloride to enable me to get enough potassium without overloading on sodium.
Be aware that too much potassium, hyperkalemia, is as bad as too little, hypokalaemia, so do not supplement without caution and blood testing for guidance.
Dried apricots. Potatoes. Orange juice. Pomegranate juice.
A banana a day 👍
Hi,
I read that cacao powder is a good source of potassium.
Cacao is similar to cocoa powder but is processed differently.
You could eat a lot of salmon. 6 fillets a day would give you over 4500.
I'm in United States I supplement with 99mg tablets and try to incorporate lemon juice. You are right though it can be hard to keep caloric intake down just getting it from foods orange juice banana and potatoes have a nice amount
