Shall I try injections?

After the advice I received 11 months ago on this forum I decided to try supplements (igennus super b) rather than MMA test which is expensive. After a few months I started to feel a bit better and could do more physically. Up to a couple of weeks ago I felt quite normal although still couldn’t do as much as most people my age but I was happy being able to be physical for about 4 hrs a day which includes daily chores.

I didn’t really connect the supplements to the improvement as it was so gradual and my GP and a rheumatologist had convinced me that it was all in my head, so I thought I had cured myself with meditation and mindfulness!

I was going to order a blood test just to see how things are, so stopped the supplements and within a week my whole body started to ache again, my tinnitus came back, my heart felt like it was racing and I was feeling dizzy. I’ve been back on the tablets for 4 days but still feel bad.

Does it seem likely that I do have a b12 issue? My diet should provide more than enough.

As the supplements gave me half my life back I’m wondering whether injections would improve my life even more. I have seen cyanocobalamin available in the uk and thought that might be good to try first, to see what happens. Does anyone have any thoughts?

Thank you for reading.

The b12 institute in the Netherlands believe that injections are superior to oral supplementation and that some people might experience more recovery from them.

It is recommended to have a first injection in a medical setting. If you can’t persuade your gp to do this, there are some clinics who will give private injections. Superdrug will give them depending on your levels I believe but requests test results to access them.

If I were in your position, I'd first try sublingual B-12. But definitely get back on the igennus super B. Good luck! And ignore the doctors who want you to think that supplements can't help us.
