I am early in pregnancy and I receive 2-3 B12 injections per month. I am just wondering if anyone else has experience with this. It worries me. I’m afraid the very high levels of B12 might be dangerous for my baby but I also worry not having enough may also have negative side effects. I am also seeing that my injections feel like they are wearing off faster than usual. Probably due to my body changing and having to work harder than usual. I think weekly injections may be necessary but I worry about too much hurting my child. Any advice is much appreciated and I hope everyone is doing well.

Pregnancy and B12 injections
I’ve got a 10 month old and had my regular b12 injections all through my pregnancy, which are perfectly safe. I only have injections every 3 months, but if you are worried about frequency I would have a chat with your doctor and maybe your midwife?
I assume though as many people become b12 deficient during pregnancy and have loading doses and things that it’s probably fine!?
My baby is happy and healthy and meeting all her milestones so I don’t think it’s had any negative effect on her and I know I would have felt 100 times more crap during my pregnancy if I hadnt had them.
My daughter was diagnosed with P.A. When pregnant with her first child and was prescribed B12 injections. That baby is now a twenty five year old who is a Professional Wrestler in his spare time.. Her second son was a high scoring footballer till knee problems stopped him. He is a busy well built fit twenty three year old. She is still on her B12 injections and a very active wife and mother. We walk most days. I hope all goes well with your pregnancy and you and your child have as much pleasure of each other as my daughter has had with her family.
Thank you so much
