This UK link about hydroxycobalamin, mentions diarrhoea as a potential side effect.

There are other forms of B12 sometimes used in treatment.

- diarrhoea is also listed as a B12 deficiency symptom, strangely !

Wow....thanks, Cheryl Claire . I didn't know that. It's so many things with this deficiency. That's why it baffles the mind WHY these doctors are in B12 denial. Take care. Best

Try again Hidden - link did work for me: title Hydroxocobalamin, under "Side Effects" some way down.Not many GPs recognise many symptoms, so aren't aware of the severity or range.

A lot to cope with anyway, a lot to disentangle too : low folate, ferritin and vitamin D often also problems, sometimes thyroid too. What belongs to what ?

Unless you have a good GP, you can be left to sort that out yourself.

But how do you even know what to ask for when you have never heard of B12 before being deficient in it ?

I was lucky - GP knew what tests to do, referrals to make, how to help. Everyone here was informative and supportive. Getting through it takes time though.
