I have received my results which I had tested privately. Does this mean that I do not have PA?
B12 -139 pmol/L (25.1. -165 pmol/L)
Intrinsic factor - negative
I have been suffering with many symptoms but these maybe attributed to hypothyroidism or another endocrine disease so I am trying to exclude PA. my symptoms are numerous but include constant pins and needles/neuropathy, extreme tiredness, sudden urge to fall asleep, head pressure.
Many thanks

Your results would imply that you aren't B12 deficient.
The test for PA as a cause of a B12 deficiency is an IFAB test but it isn't very sensitive so a negative doesn't rule out PA as the cause.PA is an auto-immune disorder that results in B12 deficiency. There are other things, including slow gut transit as a result of hypothyoridism that can affect B12 absorption.
