After months of my ferritin level at 7 (about 10 months) last year in August I had another blood test and it leaped up to 534. My dr said that it was artificially high because he saw some inflammatory marker, (I can’t say which one it was). A year later, blood test found it is 391. I had no iron supplementation or change in diet. After months of unsuccessful dietary supplementation (actually kept lowering regardless) when in the single digits, somehow it skyrockets into the triple digits. I was asked by my GP if I had any infections, and I have had none this past year that I’m aware of.
What else should I be looking into? Any reasons why my inflammation would be so high? And consistently high this past year?
My cbc showed normal levels for everything else. Hemoglobin was normal.
