Wisteria has done so well - will probably flower three times this year if I'm lucky. Liked the dramatic sky as a backdrop.
This one is especially for Nackapan - but also for all those whose lives haven't changed significantly just because pubs and restaurants are now open !

If you cut off the faded blooms it will keep flowering more profusely. They used to do this in Victorian times when gardeners were two a penny! Its like any deadheading I guess. They are not supposed to like manure, (treat them mean keep them keen is usually the official guidance) it’s supposed to lead to greenery rather than flowers, but I think most plants do like it, interesting it seems to be good for yours. I suspect the rain has really helped them give a great display, they like water.
Guess it depends when you do it- I saw buds forming (before leaves) and gave it a treat - since soil here is about as poor as you can get without referring to it as rubble. The weather this year has been great for blossoms of all types, even woods and scrublands.

I've just had a telephone appointment with rheumatologist about my latest Dexascan. She then sent me for an x-ray to make sure I don't have any hairline stress fractures in vertebrae. If okay, which I think it will be, she suggests Raloxifene for my osteoporosis of the spine and osteopenia of neck- experiment to see if vitamin D alone would be sufficient unsuccessful, but worth a shot. So just waiting for GP to get report and x-ray results. How is your back now ?
