I'd say so

My Mum always had the nasal drip. She also had food intolerances. Have you been tested for coeliac?

Lack of smell and taste, if not covid, can be associated with low zinc levels as well

Hi Leils thanks for the reply, can coeliac cause post nasal drip? I haven't been tested for coeliac but I have both diarrhea and constipation for the last 3 years. I wasted my money with an ENT doctor who performed a nose surgery and nothing came out of it. I have sceptical of visiting doctor thereafter.

When my b12 levels were low, I did not have a sense of taste, which i believe played a big part in weight loss. No interest in food, if one can’t taste it. My sense of taste returned with adequate B12 treatment.

It did in my case and it dripped down the back of my throat and caused a horrible globular sensation. I was referred to ENT and they gave me a probe up my nostril and down to my throat. This showed I had some form of rhinitis. It was odd as I was not sneezing or blowing my nose just getting the PND and lots of waterbrash. Yuck. I was given a steroid nasal spray which I need to use for 3 months. Was also given a saline nasal spray. Have only been using for a few days and what a huge difference!!

Hi Martin, thanks for the reply. How long did you use these sprays before the PND started reducing? Also is there any link between B12 defciency and rhintis?

in reply to poulamis

I noticed an improvement in a couple of days. It was very quick. I am not aware of any connection between B12d and PND but that’s not to say there isn’t one. I was told I’d need to use the spray for 3 months at least!
