It takes time.
Thank you for your reply
I had stopped b12 but the pain persists i dont know how b12 cause wrists pain 😕
I had lots of new pains when starting injections and got very emotional and upset. It all passed and the improvements were huge. GP couldn’t understand why I was having pains etc. I’m just so glad I kept going as it’s made a huge difference.
New pains like what ?
Do you think i should continue my b12 injections ?
Thank you for your reply 🥰
My worst pain was in my calf, it was really strong. But it went, along with many other symptoms after a while. If I reduce or forget my injections the same pains come back really quickly, along with recall problems etc, but again, they go away with regular injections. I’m not medically trained so can’t comment on your situation but I’m so glad I persevered as it’s improved my health dramatically. I hope you find what works for you.
Hello! I've just read your reply and I'm experiencing the same thing myself.
I just wanted to check howlong it took you to feel better after the initial injections?
Hi. The pain probably took a couple of months of every other day injections to go fully. I felt a lot better with many things like muscle pain etc fairly soon after starting. Recall and concentration issues slowly improved but come back really quickly if I don’t inject regularly. I’ve tried many times to reduce the frequency but seem to need regular injections. I hope that helps.
Hi Zaidhfh,
Some of us find our symptoms get worse before they get better when starting B12 treatment. Some people say it is like the nerves are starting to wake up, that is why they get more pain.
If you have been diagnosed as being deficient in B12 then it's important you make sure that is corrected.
You might want to try a different type of B12, some people say some work better than others for them. There are Hydroxocobalamin, Methylcobalamin and Cyanocobalamin injections available. You have to see what works for you.
