Has anyone ever experienced dizziness, a metallic taste in their mouth and numbness temporarily? I felt it immediately after she inserted the needle in my arm. I’m new to all of this, so any and all info would be greatly appreciated.

I would make a note and see how you go.I've not had these symptoms.

Others yes . Initially I would sit for a while afterwards and drink water and eat something sweet.

I now just carry on.

I rarely experience much now. It can hurt at times and throb for a while also bruises . Not every time though.

The first ones are a bit if a blurr as I was so dizzy and symptomatic anyhow.

I used to get racing tinnitus and a bad headache the day and day after. and symptoms for me got worses before better.

I now ask what brand I'm being injected with . As was amazed it nor recorded Just batch and expiry.

If it was mild and transient I woukdnt thi k a concern.

I hope it doesnt happen again.

Otherwise mention it to the nurses.

Yes, to those symptoms with low B12. Metal taste in the mouth is a known one

Perhaps the stress of the appointment caused extra demands..

No medical background, but I have had significant anxiety ( then getting 8-weekly nurse injections) , over a decade. It finally settled down slowly over months after self injecting every 3 days in the last 3 years.

I'm not dismissing your experience, as there could be many reasons for it, but if you were anxious and hyperventilating a bit, it could have exacerbated the metallic taste (I noticed it more when breathless from exertion) and given you feelings of dizziness. It might improve when you've got used to having the injections? You could try breathing exercises before you have them to see if it helps.

Hope you start to feel improvements from the injections soon. Just be aware that for lots of us it can take months of gradual improvement before really feeling significant changes. Keep the faith!
