Just had folic results from doctor. They were 5.4ugl. Doc says they are fine. Are they telling the truth ?

Is this figure within the normal range? The range will be shown on blood test results in brackets, immediately after the result.
If your result is within the range then it is fine.
Sounds like just in range so may need monitoring .As JanD236 says the range should be on the result form. Have you deficiency symptoms? 200-400 mcg of folic acid is deemed safe by the NHS and indeed encourage in women of child bearing age daily.

Unlike B12 levels, folate tends not to have such a huge 'grey' area. And the leb test is pretty accurate.
